Date: Oct 3, 2010: Barring the speculation and apprehensions a few days ago... India stuns the world with a spectacular show at the opening ceremony of Commonwealth Games 2010 at Delhi, India The stunning aerostat with Rajasthani puppets hanging from it and dancing...   i was just too mesmerized by that UFO typo.. err well balloon cum projector cum screen. ] It was a breath taking ceremony with the traditional dance forms, drums, music and esp the rocking AEROSTAT filled with Helium which doubled as a projection screen... !  Clever Use and concept...! The other segments throughout the evening had the Yoga, Tree of Knowledge, and the Great Indian Journey. See for yourself the videos here:   and part 2 The creation in mehndi by children was superb - so beautiful and traditional :) Yes, indeed there was a lot of inconvenience to the local public due to travel restrictions, fines,  and the Delhi area turning into a military camp, but all-in -all the opening cere
